Identifying Engine Rotation

All engines with Outdrives are Left Hand,
Standard Rotation

See examples below
Determining Rotation on engines with Transmissions

Left Hand, Standard Rotation

Standing in front of the engine and looking at the belts and pulleys, if they are turning to the right, in clockwise direction then it is a standard rotating engine.

Standing behind of the engine and looking at the flywheel, if it is turning to the left, in counter-clockwise direction then it is a standard rotating engine.

Flywheel Rotation

Right Hand, Reverse Rotation

Standing in front of the engine and looking at the belts and pulleys, if they are turning to the left, in counter-clockwise direction then it is a reverse rotating engine.
